BACKGROUND HISTORY

Bill Jones starting his driving career working part time driving a minibus for a friend Nefydd Jones. Unfortunately in 1977 Nefydd died and Bill decided to buy one of his minibuses and operate it on some evenings. He continued with his teaching career until he took early retirement in 1978 when the business became full time with his wife Eileen. They traded as W T and E E Jones but decided to use their house name 'Dyma Fo' as their logo. This translates to 'here it is'.

They soon had a school contract and also they won a council contract to operate a service involving Minera, Bronwylfa and Legacy.

In October 1981 they expanded by buying a number of routes and three vehicles from Williams and Davies of Southsea. These vehicles involved a coach and two double deckers. The following year a new service bus was purchased.

In February 1988 Bill and Eileen retired and the business was sold to Tony Strafford.

However in 1992 Bill agreed to buy back one of the coaches he had sold to Tony Strafford and used it for a while on a school contract.
